So there is not much expected today. He was showing really good movement when I got here and seemed to be responding at least a little bit to commands (squeeze my hand, release my hand) and is spending several hours each day breathing on his own (well the ventilator as support).
Today will likely just be spending a lot of time waiting. And surgery is scheduled for tomorrow. The time of the surgery is still fluid since he could be moved of a more emergent case would pop up.
They have mentioned that he will be transferred to another facility at some point in the near future, but both when and where are still pending.
I don't know if there will be an additional update, but if there is, I'll be sure to share.
