Another late night update today!

Today was a day full of good news. Brian's respiratory culture came back with no flags which means no concerning results. The x-ray also showed no change from the previous one. They didn't say outright that he does not have pneumonia, but that is what I inferred from this. They also stopped a few of Brian's meds today, one for his neurostorming, and one for the ileus. These are good signs that these are both improving. Ortho took the staples out of his arm yesterday and today Brian's nurse and I also took out the staples from Brian's laceration on his head. 

Brian was moving a lot today, especially his legs and feet more than he has been. All really great signs for his future with walking. He also was being pretty ornery today with reaching for the things he shouldn't be again today. While it makes my time with Brian harder since I have to watch him constantly (or put that mitt on that he hates), it is a good sign that he is healing. He is also starting to use his left hand a little more which is so great considering that arm and hand were pretty stationary until yesterday. 

I brought in a pen and a pad of paper today just to see and he held the pen perfectly and did try writing. He also looked at the paper while he was writing which was all really cool to see. He didn't actually write anything but did scribble a bit on the paper. 

A bit short and sweet today, but super positive!
