Happy Monday! I know it was a holiday for a lot of people, so hopefully everyone enjoyed their holiday! 

Brian had such a nice and relaxing day today. His therapists did not come by today so I think they had the day off today too (or maybe they came when I wasn't at the hospital this evening). We did get to talk to the dietitian today, which was great! She said that since Brian's been doing well eating, she is going to discontinue his bolus feeds through his peg! He will instead have Ensure as a meal replacement if he doesn't eat enough of his meals. He had one this morning instead of breakfast since he slept through the breakfast delivery. And today Brian ate 100% of his lunch! 

After lunch Brian took a nice long nap. So just a nice and relaxing day today. A hopefully easy day today for him to be ready for therapy tomorrow since they are definitely going to be back tomorrow!

I don't remember if I mentioned it on the blog or not, but an original fall prevention plan the hospital had mentioned was potentially moving Brian to a room closer to the nurses' station (as well as a few other things), so I had packed up all Brian's stuff last Friday to be ready for the move. Well turns out, they instead moved a different high risk patient to be next door to Brian and the posted up 2 nurses outside their doors to act as sitters. I actually do like this plan better since there aren't always nurses at the nurses station, but there will always be someone outside their rooms. So today I unpacked and redecorated Brian's room while he was napping today. 

Not a huge update today, but still making steps forward. Brian and I are very much looking forward to getting the trach and peg removed, which will hopefully be very soon!
