Happy Wednesday! I took this photo Monday before Brian had spent any time in the chair and forgot to share it. So here is a small glimpse of Brian's wheels he gets to use while at Good Samaritan.
Today was a lot of the same as yesterday for Brian. He was still pretty tired overall. He did spend a little while in the wheelchair again and is still breathing completely on his own. The breathing is likely the main cause for his exhaustion since he definitely got used to the vent doing the work. He just needs to continue to build up his strength, which will continue to improve.
In other news, we got the coverage letter we needed for Brian for the LTAC submitted to them. The LTAC was being very difficult with their admission process, but hopefully this is all we need to get that transfer! I am hoping to get more info on this tomorrow, but I would now guess that Brian will be moved by the end of the week, and I am honestly really hoping for tomorrow to be moving day. We just need to make sure the LTAC has a bed available for Brian. If they now do not have a bed ready after they were so difficult throughout this, I will expect everyone local to meet me over there so we can riot. 😜 Just kidding, but also... kinda not.
Hopefully tomorrow will include a more exciting update on both Brian being more awake and also LTAC transfer info. We can certainly hope! I won't get too excited until I hear for sure when he is moving since we've been told early next week for the past 2.5 weeks.
🤍
We’ll have our pitchforks ready if they don’t get him over there asap.
ReplyDeleteThanks for keeping us all updated! We check in daily and are super encouraged by Brian’s progress. Looking forward to visiting when the time is right.
Here for the riot!! ❤️
