 Happy Fun Friday!

Today was such a great day! Brian had the best week this week! He did so well in face that he graduated back to his upright wheelchair! He was switched to the tilt chair because of the hallway standoff incident as I will now be referring to it. He has shown such improvement over the last few days that they felt it wasn't necessary to keep him in the tilt chair anymore! 👏

Today Brian had THREE OT sessions! First thing this morning Brian had ADLs to get ready for the day. Then he has another OT session which was building legos. He worked through about 1/3 of building a monster truck which is great! Then after that he had his final OT session today. That one was with his usual therapist and she did some more shoulder mobility exercises and shoulder games. We played catch with some lacrosse sticks and then we also played ladder golf. 

In between some of these OT sessions, Brian also had speech therapy. He worked with them during that session on various things. I can't provide a lot of details, because that is a session that just works better with Brian and his therapist. He doesn't need me as a distraction and there isn't much additional that I would really add to his sessions. 

Then after lunch today Brian had PT. We went to the T. Rec. gym to play some games. We played Skeech which is like a finesse ball rolling game, we played PIG with basketball, Brian did a scavenger hunt to find cones around the room, and he walked around quite a bit. I think I said this previously, but just in case I didn't, PT is definitely his favorite of the therapies because he loves when he is allowed to get up and walk around. 

So even the therapists made it a fun Friday today!
