 Happy Fun Friday! 

Busy day for us today. Brian started off his day with a very short session with his OT for ADLs. Then he went to Swedish Hospital for another set of ultrasounds for his legs to check for clots again. They came back negative which means he can stop taking his blood thinner! 🎉

Then he had a follow up with his orthopedic surgeon to check on his shoulder. Brian got the staples taken out and the doctor cleared him for assisted range of motion work with the therapists. Brian is still not cleared to move his arm on his own, it all has to be assisted movement. But that is all great because he is moving in the right direction in that healing! 

After those appointments, Brian had PT. He did some balance exercises. He did so good at them! His PT today was a different person than usual and she typically works in outpatient. So she said the fact that Brian could do them so well while still being inpatient is really great! 

Then today we went on an outing for lunch again. Today we went to a taco shop. Brian was very appreciative because he said it was so much better than the food at the hospital (and he's not wrong). Then I went to pick Lincoln up from school and while I was gone, Brian had a session with T-Zone where they played Black Widow. Then he had a session with his technology speech to make sure Brian's phone was still working for him. Following that he had a speech session where they made sentences for various photos. Then there was a meeting with the pharmacist to discuss the meds Brian is currently on. This was also to help us for the weekend independent living trial. 

Lincoln and I have started our weekend at the hospital! Brian's so excited we are able to stay here for these few nights! We already played a big round of Black Widow with a few of the staff tonight too. That is why I'm not really worried about this weekend. We have already been doing everything we need to in caring for Brian, this is just to make sure we are good overnights too.
