 It's unfortunately Monday again, but Brian actually likes Mondays at Craig so he was happy today!

Today Brian started his day with 2 straight hours of speech. That is a lot to start the day but he did so great. He spent some time with his new speech therapist and they got along great. She did some initial testing with him to get to know him and get to know his speech difficulties. 

Following his speech sessions this morning, he had OT where he made his Lake Mac breakfast sandwiches! He was super anxious this morning before cooking just because this was so important to him but he did so amazing. He did everything himself and they turned out amazing! While he was eating them he said how good it was and then also said "I could sell these." When we asked him later about it making them again, he said he wasn't anxious about it anymore since he did it and it went so well. 

This afternoon he had PT where he retested his balance. He did this when he first admitted to Craig and today he repeated the test so they can see the improvement. In that first week when he did the initial test, he got a 24/56 (roughly 43%). Today he got 56/56!!! He is still a little bit unsteady when standing on one foot, but in all honesty, I would also struggle with that. 

Tomorrow is surgery day so all the good vibes for that tomorrow! We are expecting it to be a bit worse for a few days and then finally starting to feel some relief. He is in pretty constant pain now, so he is not too worried about the post surgery pain since this will be how it can actually start to feel better as well as heal.
