 Today was discharge day!!! We have been looking forward to this day since the very beginning and Brian was incredibly antsy this morning! He was driving me crazy while we waited for the final steps before discharge. But everything went so smoothly and Brian's happily home now.

The first thing he did when we got home was lay in our bed. He was so excited to be able to lay down in our bed and sleep. He laid there for a little bit, but then he decided he wanted to look around the house since it had been so long since he was here. He also was so happy to see Netta and be able to spend some time with her. We sat outside for a bit while Netta was playing in the grass. 

Then we went to Lincoln's lacrosse practice. We stayed in the car while he was practicing, but we were able to watch from the car. The field they play on is down a huge hill, so we didn't want to attempt that on the first day home. I don't think Brian would have a problem with it, but we thought it would be best to wait until Monday to try that hill. 

And right now Brian is asleep in our bed for the first time since January 5! He's gonna get the best sleep tonight being home finally and not having the loud environment of the hospital. 

I will continue to post daily updates for now, but I'm not sure if that will still be interesting now that our lives and Brian's rehab will slow down quite a bit now that he has transitioned to outpatient.
