I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Our weekend was filled with hospital time and lacrosse. Lincoln had a lacrosse game on Saturday and they did so amazing! He played so well! He plays defense so at his age due to the rules he can't score goals, but he played such tough defense and got 4 assists. Their team won 12-2! Then Sunday we went to the Mammoth game thanks to Brian's mom who gave Lincoln the suite at Ball Arena for his birthday!
Today was Lincoln's 9th birthday! He was so happy to be able to celebrate with his dad in the hospital! We brought in some cupcakes and the techs and security sang Happy Birthday to him. Brian was so excited to tell Lincoln Happy Birthday that he called me at 3 AM. 😅 When I went in today his nurse was chatting with me and said the night nurse was mad at the techs for letting that happen. But at least he called me and not anyone else.
While we were at the hospital we did a lot of walking the halls, we played a round of Black Widow, watched a bit of TV, and of course eating. While we were at the Mammoth game Brian played video games with one of the behavior techs.
And before I end the weekend update, I want to remind everyone about the golf tournament for Brian. I know we are still a few months away (tournament is August 3), but we are really working towards getting some fun stuff finalized! Registration is open!
