Today Brian had another OT session. It went so well and being able to spend that time working on his shoulders is so helpful. He definitely likes being able to do some stretching on his right shoulder even though it is very sore. His OT gave him lots of homework (which is great as long as I can encourage him to do them 😜). Today he is officially 6 weeks out from the rotator cuff repair so he is able to start some active motion on that shoulder as long as it's gentle.
On our way home from that appointment, we stopped at the hardware store to get a power washer. Brian has a list of jobs he wants to complete around the yard and house and one of those jobs is to finally stain our fence. But in order to stain the fence, we need to power wash it first. We got the approval from both Brian's OT and PT yesterday for him to be able to try it out. Since Brian's not cleared to go back to work yet, he has a lot of time on his hands to try and tackle these tasks. These are also great ways to help him do his therapies without feeling like he is doing the therapies. I am pretty excited about the power washer. I have never used one before, but everyone I have ever talked to with one raves about how much they love them. So I'm sure Brian will also really love finding all the things he can power wash.
Then tonight we were out to dinner. It was partially just because, but also made for a nice belated anniversary dinner since we couldn't go last night with book club.
