 Today was quite a day for us! 

This morning was so nice, we drove Lincoln to school today instead of walking because we just didn't feel like walking today and we did a lot of walking yesterday. Then today Brian had a busy day with appointments. First we went to Craig to meet with Brian's nurse practitioner who will be similar to his doctor was in inpatient. She is just there if we need anything medically. This was an initial evaluation and meet and greet appointment. 

After that appointment we got a quick lunch from Brian's favorite lunch spot which is a parking lot over from his PT & OT office and then Brian had both PT and OT. In PT today he met with a new therapist and she did some balance work with Brian to help him increase the strength in his legs which will lead to more and more improved balance. She also gave Brian some additional at home exercises and said that we should keep walking to school when we can. Then he had an OT appointment. She worked on Brian's scars a bit to help break up the scar tissue and also did a lot of stretching on his shoulders. She mentioned how tight his left shoulder is and yet he still have really great range of motion. This is likely a lot of why he continues to have that mild pain on that side and something that should improve as he continues his shoulder work. He still has at least 2 weeks left in his sling so he is still not yet cleared for active motion on that right shoulder. 

Then after appointments we went to pick up Lincoln from school and it was storming so bad they wouldn't let the kids out. They would release them if parents came to the door to grab them, but we waited for a bit thinking the storm would let up enough for Lincoln to just run to the car. It did not. In fact it kept getting worse! So we ended up walking up to the school in order to get Lincoln at the doors. Brian and I were both SOAKING WET in about 10 seconds. I had an umbrella in the car and it didn't even matter because the wind was blowing the rain around. My shoes were immediately filled with water. Then after we got Lincoln he was really upset because he was in shorts, a t-shirt, and crocs. So we had an eventful ending to the day!
