Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!
We had a busy weekend with so much driving (my poor car)! Brian is not a big gift guy so for Father's Day he has been wanting to go to Odell for awhile. He has had a bit of a tough time reconciling that he doesn't work at Odell (and hadn't for over a year pre-accident) and felt like going there would help him better understand that. I told him that could be his Father's Day gift to go up there and spend some time at the brewery. As we were leaving he said he really appreciated going and it helped his brain a lot since it was very different than he remembered. We also got to spend some time with all Brian's ex-Odell friends while we were there.
Something I forgot about when fostering is how difficult it makes planning things during the weekend because we have to drop her off and pick her up at certain times. So that was about all we did Saturday since we had to her back up.
Sunday we dropped off the pup and then went back home to relax. At first Brian wanted to work on the fence some more, but when it was time to start he decided to take a rest day today instead. Since it's Father's Day I told him that was okay. 😝 Then this evening after picking up the pup again today (so we get her for another week) we went up to Greeley to visit with my parents and my grandparents. We had dinner together and played Lincoln's new game "The Chameleon". If anyone is in the market for a quick and easy to understand game, this is the one. It's very silly and fun.
