Today was a special day for us.
This morning Brian took a walk around the block and when he got back he pulled some weeds. Somehow our weeds are just out of control and yet our grass is dying. Lawn upkeep is so frustrating!
Then this afternoon we made a special return trip to Good Samaritan. One thing that was said to us a lot when we were at and when we were leaving Good Samaritan was to make sure to come back after Brian was done with all his hospital stays. Well today we finally had a day where we could go so we took advantage. We got some Crumbl for the nurses and front desk staff and made our way over. There were a large handful of staff I wanted to see and was just hoping for the best when we arrived. We were so lucky and got to see so many people that I was hoping to see. The best part was when we were waiting for the door to open and the ICU manager came out and saw Brian first and didn't think much and then saw me and recognized me right away then did one of the biggest double takes I have ever seen realizing that Brian was Brian.
It was very special for me mainly since I had built relationships with the nursing staff there and it was really for me that I wanted to go back there. Brian still doesn't remember any of the staff or that hospital, but he wanted to go with me since he knew how much I wanted to go. Everyone there was the best and were all so happy to see us. Brian was blown away that they all still knew him and recognized him. He got to see his room since it was vacant.
Then other than that today we had track practice. Lincoln did a lot of running today and some sprint drills and then they played a massive round of ultimate line tag. Their head coach was out of town for practice today and the assistants let them have a super fun time at practice.
