This past week was Lincoln's first full week of school! He has enjoyed riding his bike to and from school each day! He has really enjoyed the school year so far (even though it is obviously less fun than summer). He also is getting homework this year which is a bummer and a first. Lincoln really impressed me because he did it right away when he got home from school on Friday instead of waiting until Sunday night, which is definitely what I would have done as a kid.
Brian had a few appointments with his OT and they worked on his skills with throwing a ball and some more dual tasking. They also worked on some jumping exercises. The jumping was definitely challenging for him, but he got better as they worked on them. Brian's ball throwing is also SO close to being back. He will be ready for helping coach baseball again next season!
Friday we went to Gabe's as usual for our fun Friday breakfast. And this weekend we went to my parent's house because we had to work on some exciting things for The Birdie Initiative! We have our date for next year finalized already and we have started to work on the prep for next year already! The second annual The Birdie Initiative Golf Tournament will be July 25, 2026! We had such a successful tournament this year and are very much looking forward to next year! While we were at my parent's house, we were greeted by the neighborhood's wild turkeys who came over to snack on my parent's garden! They are clearly used to people because they walked right up to and around us. Lincoln definitely thought it was the coolest thing.
