Weekly Update 13Oct-19Oct

Monday we returned from our trip to Arizona and I know I already put that in last week's update so I'll skip that today to avoid redundancy.

We had a slower week which was very necessary for us. I had a lot of work to catch up on after being out so much recently. Wednesday we went to OT. Brian did some strengthening on his shoulder and some agility exercises. He also has really enjoys playing cards so he has been ending his sessions every week with a game (or several) of speed.

Then we had fun Friday breakfast this week at Gabe's. We also went there on Saturday before we went shopping. My birthday is next week so we did a little shopping this weekend to celebrate. There wasn't much that caught any of our eyes, but we had a good time there.

Then today on Sunday we had a family breakfast again. My grandpa organizes us to get together as a big group and meet for breakfast. This time we had a few additional members that are my grandpa's nieces. The breakfast was so enjoyable to get together with that whole family. I am so lucky to have the best and most supportive family, and for them to be so close. I know that isn't a reality for a lot of people and I am extremely grateful to have that. After breakfast, Lincoln's close friend at school has a birthday party at Boondocks so we went there. Lincoln really loved the mini golf and go karts. They have 2 different courses and Lincoln could drive the cart in the smaller course. It was very interesting watching Lincoln drive himself for the first time. All the kids started off very cautious and shortly after that they were zooming around. Brian also drove one round of go carts on the big course and he said he really enjoyed it. He had no issues while driving which was great to see. It's not the same as driving a real car, but good to see that he was very comfortable driving the go carts. The kids also did some laser tag to finish up the birthday party.

This is also probably a niche piece of info, but I have a plant (Hoya Polyneura) that is putting out 4 different peduncles of blooms and I'm so excited. I originally bought this plant as a 2 leaf cutting from an online retailer in 2022 and it has grown so much since then. This is the first time it is blooming. I originally only saw one peduncle but when I looked closer this weekend, I saw the other 3 and one is already opened! They are STUNNING!
