Yikes, I missed a while

Sorry for the long gap in updates!

It has been mostly the same going on around here lately. Brian has OT a few times a week where he is really working on his shoulder strength and functional activities. He has been working so hard strengthening, but he still has work to do to get back to 100% still. He has appointments with OT scheduled through the end of the year and I expect those to continue into 2026 as well.

Since Brian has his license back he has started to have lunch with some of his friends. Over the last few weeks he has lunch with four different friends and is always looking forward to more of those lunch dates. He also has started to do some volunteering with his baseball team in the concession stand.

Last weekend we went to Cleveland for a short weekend trip for Brian's uncle's funeral. The funeral was very sad, but it was nice to be able to see some of this family we hadn't seen in a long time and some we had never met before. This was my first time to Cleveland and I was surprised how pretty it was. It was very cold and snowy when we were out there, but we made it a point to swing by Lake Erie and check it out. It was so beautiful and peaceful.

Then this weekend we spent it at home getting ready for Christmas. I baked so much bread for some neighbor gifts for my parents and my friends. I finally feel ready for Christmas after getting the majority of our gifts wrapped today also. Lincoln had his last basketball game of the season and it was a challenge for them. They faced a team that was far more aggressive and Lincoln's team had a bit of a tough time with that. They managed to secure the win and ended their season undefeated. Lincoln was excited to see the new Spongebob movie which came out Friday and we went to see that. Lincoln loved it! This week was also Lincoln's spirit week and this year we went all out for his crazy hair day. We turned his head into a pineapple. We also picked up a new foster puppy today and his name is Max, named by Lincoln.

I hope everyone has a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year (I am assuming I will forget to post this update next week also)!
